Plan a Visit: FAQ

Come as you are!

And by that we don't just mean your clothing. Sure, you can wear whatever makes you comfortable—this is Minnesota after all—but we also hope that you come as your true self.

We welcome you as you are: if you're exploring Christianity for the first time, if you're not sure what you believe, if you feel like you need a break from other church traditions, if you have always been an Episcopalian, or if you are returning to church from a long absence. You're invited!

Who We Are

Bring your kids!

One of our deepest values here at Grace is our commitment to children and youth meeting God in worship.

Great neighbors!

Graphic map of the Grace neighborhood.

Located at the crossroads of the East Harriet, King Field, Lynnhurst, and Tangletown neighborhoods of Minneapolis, you can easily find us between Lake Harriet and 35W on 46th Street. We're just a short walk west of bus stop 2855 and 57203. We have a parking lot on the northeast corner of Bryant Ave and 46th St (just east of our building), but you may also park along the city streets in our neighborhood. There is no charge for parking in the lot if you are attending a church activity.

You may use any of our three entrances on Sunday mornings. There is a wheelchair ramp on the south side of the building at our 46th St entrance. There is also a reserved parking space at the foot of the ramp. Once inside the south door, you’ll find an elevator to the worship level immediately to your left.

Because we have changed our parish's name recently, some mapping programs still have us listed as "St. Luke's Episcopal" or "Sts. Luke & James". That's us! Same folks, just a new name: Grace Episcopal Church!

What is worship like?

Here at Grace we follow the traditional structures of Episcopal worship in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We use the Book of Common Prayer to plan our services, but our printed bulletins will contain everything you need to participate.

If you're looking for a spiritual experience outside of Sunday mornings, we offer four monthly options. We hold a service of chants and silences that use ideas from the Taizé community in France, we share our prayer labyrinth, we offer services of healing prayers, and in 2026 we initiated a restful contemplative service. Dates and times can be found on our Home page or on our Calendar page.

Weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30PM a group of us meet for meditative centering prayers.
